How to play on the blinds

How to play Poker Holdem on the blinds.

Hold'em Poker is the most popular online table game in the world right now, and don't let anyone tell you different. Players come and go online, and the ones that stay and prosper are generally the ones who have figured out how to play on the blind bets. Most experienced Holdem Poker players don't really enjoy playing on the blinds, and only take comfort in the fact that it doesn't come round all that often, especially in the early stages of an online tournament. Most players, when their turn comes to place a blind bet come round to them, especially the big blind bets, count it as a losing hand. Anything that they win from that hand is regarded as a bonus.

In each Poker Holdem hand, the betting goes around the table from the button in order until it reaches the player who has posted the small blind. If any players decide to make a bet, it must at least be to the value of the big blind. Any other player who bets must also match the value of the big blind. If no one has bet before the "small bind" has the least expensive option of doubling their small blind bet to reach the value of the "big blind" and call them. In the betting sequence, the last person to act is the big blind. If no other player on the table has risen, the "big blind" has the option to check or rise. Many players wait to see if the big blind checks or raises before making their bet, and they usually re-raise to get the feel if the "big blind" like their hand. If the " big blind" like their hand or feels like a bluff they will match the raise, or even re-raise.

If all goes well, the remaining players will go into the flop, and the hand will play out. Where players feel strongly about being on the blinds is that the opposition always feels that they have nothing to lose by betting, and that in most cases they come in with a weak hand. A situation that can work out very well for a "big blind" is when they come in with a very strong hand, and they can coax opposing players to bet into them on one or two rounds.
