Winning

Poker Hold’em rules state that the palyer holding the strongest hand is the winner. The strongest being the best five including the two hole cards and the five community cards. With Limit Holdem Poker, be prepared for a possible showdown between two or even three players. It is very commom in Limit for this to happen. In no limit poker showdowns are less common because more players are likely to fold. Deciding whether a hand in Holdem Poker is a winner doesn’t  necessarily mean going down to the river. In few cases, the hand can easily be won pre-flop, and in a few more after the flop. The statistical chances of a hand reaching the river card stage is pretty low in no limit compared to limit poker.

Poker Holdem table games are settled when all the players drop out. There is no clear winner, as the players competing come with their own stack and can decide to drop in or out any time they choose. Tournament Holdem Poker, however is a completely different ball game. All of the players who take part in the tournament are issued with the same value of playing chips. According to the number of entrants in the tournament, a bubble number is calculated. The players who remain in the tournament long enough are included in "the bubble ", and those who get knocked out early leave with nothing but memories.

As the tournament progresses, players are knocked out. Eventually there will be six or maybe eight players left in the tournament, and they will be playing on the final table. The overall winner of the tournament is the player who is left with all the "playing chips" in their stack. Prize money is then ditched out according to a pre-set proportion, with the winner taking home a major sum of money, and some of the players who just made it into the bubble, grateful to get their entry fee back.
